Profile

Born in Oostende, Belgium in 1954. He made his debut as a flutist in Flanders Opera Symphony Orchestra and, in 1976, became the first piccoloist in the Monnaie Theater in Brussels. After being flutist in the Sumphonic Orchestra of the Belgian Radio and Television, he became a solo flutist and played in the "World Orchestra" conducted by Carlo-Maria Giulini in 1986, as the first flutist.

He plays in more than 100 concerts yearly all over the world, and instructs in master classes at the same time. Previously he taught at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and today he holds a title of professor at the Royal Conservatory of Mons. He incessantly seeks for new possibilities with playing wide variety of genre in music such as classic, jazz and tango, including the "Histoire du tango" contributed to A. Piazzola.

A lot of numbers of CDs under title of "The Flute Collection"are planned to be published from the Naxos, while the CD for Mendelssohn has acquired a great commercial success.
